Dream Team Master - Ellen Franzoso
I am Ellen Franzoso and I’ve lived on a riverfront suburb of NYC most of my life. My family and I have always been hard working, dedicated people. Fortunately, (or unfortunately – my son has learned that hard work does pay off – as he is highly successful – and very well respected in his field). My background consists of a successful career on Wall Street, including trading on an options desk on the American Stock Exchange, to institutional sales, and municipal bonds. I changed careers after starting a family in 1983, and was a first grade elementary school teacher for 17 years.
I “dabbled” in a traditional mlm business for six and a half years – always coming up short. It was actually a relief when I finally gave up. I could spend time with family and friends and go to grocery stores now without looking over my shoulder. I really never thought I would do anything like it again.
So being the furthest thing from my mind, but wanting to yet change careers again, I began searching for a God given direction. I met up with an old colleague who’s husband had started an mlm company over 10 years ago. I have to admit, I was impressed with their lifestyle ... so I thought ... what if I got some outside training to get this mlm business to work. Funny thing was – having this connection to the co-owner of a successful mlm company – I would have the opportunity to meet and work with their marketing specialist and top reps. My gut feeling, though, was to pursue outside training.
Having limited internet skills, I did not find the mlm company at first. What I did find was an ad that claimed – “How Would You Like To Put Any Where’s From 10 - 30 People A Week Into Your Business – Week In And Week Out Without Fail?” Now one has to be careful for what one wishes for – remember – I said if I’m even going to entertain an mlm business again, I wanted outside training. Now every time I tried to go into any type of internet search, mlm businesses and training would appear. I actually thought I “broke” my internet system. (It’s great to have an adult child who can navigate the internet with ease).
I joined both my primary business and On Stage Marketing in the same week – March ‘05. I found myself in profit within two months – marketing my primary business – by applying what I thought I was being taught – as I could not go to live calls at the time and could only listen to tape recordings of the classes in my travel time to work. In less than a year, I grew my primary business to the Instructor level – in the eyes of OSM – the second of three levels ... and one that I maintained for several years.
At about the same time I became an instructor with my primary business, I decided to market OSM – as my true passion is in education. I had to learn a lot about marketing through this venture. There had been many days that I could entertain that “towel” flying in the air. But every day, I got up, and thought – “who can I help today?” Less than one and a half years later, I am proud to say I became a master at marketing with OSM – in Feb ‘08 . I still don’t have any fancy internet skills – keywords still baffle me. I had a full time job through this journey – barely having enough time to listen to classes. I walked away from my six figure income teaching job – forfeiting full retirement. I have been able to sustain my six figure income as an OSM Master marketer.
I can not thank enough all my mentors, co-leaders, and students for bringing me through this marathon. Every little piece of the puzzle had finally been placed. From buddies to role playing, to “one’s big reason why”, to control and discipline, to choose one’s own destiny, to massive focused action, to one’s easter eggs, to live, lifetime training, to “getting out of one’s own way”, to schedules, to targets and goals, to expertise, to mindset, to positioning, to presentations .... every piece counts. My sincere gratitude goes out to Gino and Terry. They have worked endlessly with me. I am humbled to be a part of this phenomenal organization.
