Hi, I am
Barbara Harrington. I reside in Beautiful Delaware. I am
married and am a mother of two wonderful children. By training;
I am a synthetic organic chemist and worked in the pharmaceutical
industry for about 20 years.
Soon after my second child was born, I realized the idea
of a 9-5 job wasn’t thrilling ....because I didn’t
want to be away from my kids for so many hours. So……I
start a home based business. About 10 or 11 months in my
business, I began searching the Internet to see if there
is anything out there to teach me about Marketing to make
things easier for me because like many of you, I didn’t
really have a clue what marketing was all about. My primary
company told me all I needed to do was to duplicate my upline.
· Talk to everyone within 3 feet , pass out business
cards, fliers
· Schedule 3-5 home parties per week
· Go to trade shows… and my enthusiasm will
be what sells and closes the product.
Well, I quickly learned that the products didn’t
close themselves and I had to do it. And, I that meant I
left a lot of money on the table because I didn’t
like asking for the money...so.....I was out a lot of money
and I spent money on things that didn’t need to grow
my business. Well, you get the picture....I wasn’t
getting anywhere fast.

This is when…I happened
upon the Dream Team ad---about how to Explode
my business and added 20-30 people a week into my business.
Boy was I skeptical that this could be done….my
example of the number of people to put in my primary
was 3-5 people per month so…putting 20-30 people….well...this
made me feel skeptical that this was a real program
and too good to be true. But the other part of me was
curious that if there was a way…. I really wanted
to learn.
When I first
started talking to my mentor in the Dream Team, I was psyching
myself out of the expectations I set for myself for the
year. You see, I was close but yet very far away to walking
across stage at my primary’s annual seminar.
With that said…I had a real desire to make it happen.
I learned several key things like:
1) How to create that “Urgency to Buy” 2) And
once having the right person in front of me…How to
close the sale. 3) I found that I began closing my sales
(for new customers and old ones) were more effective by
directing my clients in what to buy.
And really, If you are willing to do whatever it takes
to get the job done…i.e., …do the Work, learn
how to say things differently, release the outcome, move
on when you need to, get out of your own way, be positive,
and you too will have these positive results.
In fact, I walked across that stage and along with 37 other
distributors out of a base of 6500 distributors. Pretty
awesome achievement.
What is even more exciting to me is that I have more than
tripled my client base; my closing ratio in person greater
than 90%; by phone, it is close to 50%; my first year as
a student, I improved by business over all by 400% and it
continues to improve at least 15-20% on a monthly basis
all the while, working only 20 hours or less a week.
